Talking to Myself

Walking through the room yesterday, I heard Dave tell someone on the phone: “We’ve got to get rid of the static.” He wasn’t talking about poor reception, he was talking about the persistent, irritating ‘noise’ all around us that resonates with the enemy’s signals. It can wear a body down.
This reminds me of the information I recently revisited about water molecules that respond to vocalizations to form either beautifully symmetric units or scary, asymmetric ones. Since we are mostly water, we need to be mindful of the influences we allow in.
I can’t help but think of the other definition of static, which means lack of forward movement, growth or curiosity. We can’t afford to remain static. We should be building on the firm foundation; what better use of time could there be? A fervent interest in the Father’s Creation, His Character, His Plans, His Commands is sure to yield a fulfilling life both now and to come.
So, don’t let the static cling. Shake it off. Choose Life!
